Zoe Boyd
She/Her
4 Years in Care
Zoe’s path into foster care was shaped by trauma leading her through multiple foster care placements. Despite the challenges she faced, including being labeled as a "troubled kid," Zoe learned to protect herself and speak out. Overcoming these hardships, she found her voice and became committed to raising awareness about the realities of the foster care system.
Now a dedicated advocate, Zoe is pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and is actively volunteering with foster youth and survivors of sexual assault. Her passion for creating change led her to become a strong voice for those whose experiences are often overlooked. Through her advocacy, Zoe has spoken out about the need for better oversight, funding, and resources for foster youth.
Zoe’s long-term goal is to earn her Master’s in Social Work and become a child welfare specialist. She plans to continue advocating for systemic reform while working directly with survivors of abuse. Alongside her academic journey, she also volunteers with the STARR crisis hotline and is working toward becoming a certified patient medical advocate to help vulnerable individuals navigate healthcare systems. As a member of the Women’s League of Beaumont, Zoe contributes to local initiatives that support foster youth transitioning into adulthood, striving to create a positive, lasting impact in her community.
