Tina Harris, fellow at the American Institutes for Research (AIR), is a dynamic contributor to any project she is involved in. Actively serving on the New Mexico Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee, State Advisory Group (SAG) as a board member she is engaged in various committees and has spent the last 10+ years focused on programs and strategies that uplift the prevention and decriminalization of the “typical” American foster youth experience. Tina places significance in the incorporation of valuable knowledge lived experienced leaders bring to the table in all aspects of the child welfare system that affects their daily lives.
In addition to her organizational roles, Tina offers her expertise as a panelist and consultant dedicated to positive juvenile justice reform alongside genuine youth participation and long-term engagement/peer mentorship. Ms. Harris holds a double associate degree in general studies and liberal arts. When she is not advocating for systemic change, she can be found reading fantasy novels to her feline Kilo or cooking a meal for her extensive family members while gearing up for a movie/game night.
