Taylor Barnett is a committed advocate for youth in foster care, using her personal experiences to support and empower others navigating the child welfare system. Entering foster care at the age of seven, she spent ten years in care, which shaped both her resilience and her dedication to reform.

Taylor pursued higher education at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, where she remained actively engaged in policy reform and leadership. She served as Treasurer and Historian on the Idaho Foster Youth Advisory Board, contributing to meaningful change for current and former foster youth.

Her advocacy has taken her across the country—speaking at panels, camps, trainings, and conferences in states including Idaho, Oregon, and Florida. She has also participated in policy and advocacy efforts nationwide. While Taylor reflects positively on many of her own experiences in care, she is deeply aware of the systemic challenges and remains committed to helping improve outcomes for all youth in foster care.

In addition to her advocacy work, Taylor is a Senior Property Manager at Greystar, the world’s largest property management company. Outside of her professional and advocacy roles, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, paddleboarding, camping, cooking, and traveling. Having visited 26 states so far, she is on a mission to explore all 50.
