She/Her I 3 years in Foster Care

Sobeyda is an undergraduate student at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, pursuing a degree in law and social work. Originally from Madera, California, she entered foster care at the age of 14 and was adopted at 17—an experience that fuels her passion for advocating for Indigenous foster youth through policy reform. Since relocating to Oregon in 2017, she has remained actively involved in her community, serving on school committees and participating in the Inspire Network with Project Lemonade. Sobeyda is bilingual and has a strong passion for music. She plays trombone in both the symphonic and jazz bands. In her free time, she enjoys connecting with others, exploring nature, painting, and singing karaoke.
