Skyler also known as Violet, is a creative and passionate member of the Oregon Youth Advisory Council (OYAC). They currently live in Oregon and bring their lived experience into everything they do. Skyler has spent about six years in foster care, which has strongly shaped their commitment to advocacy and supporting other young people.
A creative at heart, Skyler loves making music, creating art, cooking and baking, and writing poetry. They also enjoy skateboarding, riding dirt bikes, and exploring weaponry arts. In their free time, Skyler can often be found spending time with friends or volunteering at a local elder home.
Skyler became interested in youth advocacy after meeting a leader at camp who inspired them to support others with similar experiences. A 2025 graduate from High School, Skyler plans to study human resources and psychology, with the goal of working directly with youth. Through FosterClub, they hope to grow as an advocate, expand their knowledge of resources, and uplift young people navigating care and independence.
