Sasha Jakovich

Sasha is currently pursuing a double major in Psychology and Sociology of Law, Criminology, and Justice at the University of Minnesota and she is a passionate advocate for reforming the foster care system. After about 2 years in placement, she is now in extended foster care. She knows firsthand of the inconsistencies and issues within the Child Welfare System and is determined to turn her personal experiences into positive impact through policy reform and community outreach. She currently serves on three nonprofit boards, focusing on projects to help foster youth in Minnesota.
