Rowan Arquette is a 24-year-old Native American advocate from the Akwesasne Mohawk Reservation in New York. Having experienced both the foster care and juvenile justice systems, Rowan witnessed the barriers faced by marginalized youth—fueling his commitment to mentorship, equity, and systemic change. He currently works with a nonprofit organization supporting students in a rural school district, guiding middle schoolers through college freshmen on their paths to higher education and career readiness. Rowan will begin his Master’s in Public Affairs in Fall 2025.
In addition to his professional work, Rowan actively serves on boards and engages in initiatives focused on improving child-serving systems. He believes in the power of collective impact, reflecting the spirit of the quote: “One alone cannot change the world, but can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.” Rowan’s work is rooted in creating those ripples for lasting, generational change.
