Max Masse

 (he/him)

8 years in care

Max is an energetic, creative, and passionate young leader who has spent eight years in the foster care system. He loves meeting new people, trying new things, and building real connections wherever he goes. When he’s not advocating for youth, you can usually find Max skateboarding or diving deep into his love for film as a proud movie nerd.

Before joining FosterClub, Max worked in sales and retail, where he learned how to connect quickly with people and understand different perspectives. He’s also an accomplished leader—winning a state award through FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) and serving as one of the original Peer Navigators in 2020.

Max joined the Oregon Youth Advisory Council (OYAC) because of his lived experience navigating an outdated foster care system where youth voices are often overlooked. He is determined to turn those challenges into motivation, using his story to push for change, uplift youth voices, and inspire future generations to create a more just and supportive system.
