Layla Wills

She/Her 7 years in care

Layla Wills spent over seven years in foster care, moving through different types of placements, During this time, she faced many challenges, but she never gave up on herself. Despite the instability and hardships, Layla made the decision to take control of her future and start the journey toward healing.

After aging out of care, Layla graduated from Operation Fresh Start, a pivotal milestone that opened the door to new opportunities. Now, as a proud parent, she is focused on building a better future for her children and her community. Today, Layla volunteers with early childhood education programs and is an active member of the App Engagement Team for the FosterClub app. She also works with a nonprofit that supports women and children who have experienced trafficking or exploitation. Through recovery classes, therapy, and essential support such as hygiene products and clothing, the nonprofit helps these families transition from surviving to thriving.

Layla’s mission is to be the person she once needed—providing hope, guidance, and support for others who are walking a path she knows all too well.
