Kylie Buchan is a Youth Advocacy Specialist in Phoenix, Arizona, whose personal journey has fueled her passionate advocacy for young people in care. After being placed in foster care at 16, Kylie faced numerous challenges, including the transition to a big city, where she felt isolated. Despite these obstacles, Kylie drew on her inner strength and kept moving forward, determined to succeed.
By 20, Kylie had earned her Associate’s degree in Business with a 4.0 GPA, which paved the way for her current role with Arizona’s Department of Child Safety. As a Youth Advocacy Specialist, she leads youth councils, speaks at panels, and pushes for meaningful change to improve the lives of youth in care.
Alongside her full-time job, Kylie is a dedicated student at Arizona State University, maintaining an impressive 4.3 GPA. With plans to pursue a master’s degree, Kylie’s story is a powerful example of resilience and determination, proving that with dedication, no goal is beyond reach.
