She/Her I 10 years in Foster Care

Josalyn is from Klamath Falls, Oregon, and is a proud member of the Klamath and Modoc Tribes. She spent 10 years in and out of foster care and guardianship, an experience that inspired her passion for advocating for youth in care. With 16 siblings, Josalyn values family and community deeply. She graduated from EagleRidge High School in 2022 and completed one year at SWOCC, later joining the facilities team at Klamath Tribal Health. She has attended suicide prevention and Indigenous youth conferences, including THRIVE and OSU’s 2023 Indigenous Youth Camp. Josalyn hopes to create change so all foster youth feel seen and supported.
