Jordan Michael Otero, a former foster youth from Indiana, is a Case Manager for George Junior Republic. He began his advocacy work in 2017 with Foster Success, focusing on supporting older foster youth aging out of care. Jordan has spoken to foster parents, lawmakers, and DCS officials, including providing impactful testimony to the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee on January 17, 2024, about pathways to independence for foster youth. He previously led the Indiana Youth Advisory Board and was a member of IARCA's foster alumni policy team. A L.E.A.D. Ambassador for Foster Success, Jordan advocates statewide and nationally for foster youth. He graduated from Ball State University in 2021 with a degree in General Studies, concentrating in Social Work, and has worked with foster children since.
