Grace Celeste Brauer
She/Her
5 Years in Care
Grace was placed in foster care at birth in Indiana and experienced multiple placements before being adopted by her grandparents at 9. Early trauma and instability shaped her resilience and determination.
After earning her Bachelor’s in Film and Creative Writing, Grace worked in the film industry and navigated significant personal losses. These experiences strengthened her commitment to giving back to the foster care community. In May 2024, she founded Project ACE, a nonprofit supporting youth in care through initiatives like seasonal drives, Tech Connect—providing refurbished MacBooks to youth aging out of care—and an upcoming documentary series highlighting foster care experiences.
Grace is currently pursuing her MBA at Florida State University while volunteering with Guardian ad Litem programs and leading community outreach efforts. She has rebuilt the Heartland for Children website, supported Habitat for Humanity and the United Way, and manages projects for the WHO I Am Foundation.
Through her advocacy, Grace seeks to raise awareness about Adverse Childhood Experiences, end the stigma surrounding foster care, and create opportunities for youth to thrive. In her free time, she enjoys gaming, art, movies, and nurturing the family she has built for herself.
