(She/Her) 10 years in care
Frida lives in the Otay Ranch area of San Diego. She enjoys watching movies, learning new things, and surprisingly finds joy in working on her mental health. In her spare time, Frida likes to clean or simply relax and recharge.
Having spent 10 years in foster care, Frida developed a deep understanding of the challenges that come with an unstable upbringing. She became passionate about this work when she realized that not everyone has an easy path—sometimes, it takes resilience and determination to overcome life’s hurdles. Through her role on the Advisory Group, she hopes to be a positive influence and a supportive resource for others.
Frida graduated from San Diego State University in May 2023 with a degree in Sociology and a minor in Social Work. She has experience working with children and teens through after-school programs, as well as with probation-involved and foster youth. Frida is proud of her ongoing journey of self-discovery and her commitment to never giving up.
