Fia Ewers (she/her) 5 years in care
Fia is a former foster youth from Nevada, proudly born and raised in the "Biggest Little City." She recently earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Nevada, Reno, and will begin her Master of Social Work program in Fall 2025.
Fia’s advocacy spans the micro, mezzo, and macro levels of social work. She has served as a Peer Mentor for the UNR First-Generation Student Center and as a Peer and Community Educator for the Nevada System of Higher Education’s Fostering Success Initiative. Currently, she is a Peer Navigator with FosterClub and the Nevada delegate for the National Foster Youth Institute’s Congressional Leadership Academy, where she helps shape child welfare policy and engages in legislative advocacy at the national level.
In her free time, Fia enjoys being outdoors, reading, and spending time with her beloved cats.
