Faith Keen

She/Her

4 Years in Care

Faith Keen is a dedicated social work student from Michigan, passionate about advocating for foster youth. After being placed with her grandfather and moving through several homes, Faith was eventually adopted by her great aunt, providing much-needed stability. When it came time for college, Faith ventured out on her own, navigating the challenges of higher education without family support. However, she found strength through her peers and friends, including her MYOI coordinator.

Now nearing the completion of her Bachelor’s in Social Work (BSW) at Ferris State University, Faith is also interning with the Central Office for DHHS, gaining valuable experience for her future career in social work. Faith is committed to giving back to the community, having advocated for foster youth in Michigan, volunteered at the WISE Women's Shelter, and been an active member of the Social Work Association at Ferris.

Her long-term goal is to pursue a Master’s in Social Work at the University of Michigan, focusing on child and family welfare. Faith’s journey proves that with determination and the right support, foster youth can thrive and make a difference.
