Cinthia is a successful young lady who came to the United States at the age of 14 seeking better opportunities, especially in education. She entered the foster care system at 16 years old and aged out at 21. Throughout her journey, she has faced challenges such as language barriers, unstable housing, and financial difficulties, yet she has remained resilient and determined. She graduated from Avon High School and is now pursuing a degree in Spanish as a first-generation college student, with long-term goals of earning her Master’s degree in Social Work.

She currently serves as a LEAD Ambassador at Foster Success, where she advocates for youth with lived experience and works to create positive change within the foster care system. She actively participates in events and initiatives with FosterClub and Foster Success, supporting advocacy efforts and building community connections. Cinthia was also recognized as the Outstanding Youth Advocate of 2024. She hopes to become a voice for those who do not have one in the foster care system and remains open to opportunities that allow her to build connections, improve the system, and help ensure other youth do not face the same challenges she experienced.
