Awa lives on the East Coast and is a first-generation college graduate with a degree in Business. She spent several years in the system an experience that shaped a strong passion for advocacy and storytelling. One unique fact is that Awa learned English within a year of arriving in the U.S. In their free time, she enjoys exploring new places, reading, writing, and spending time outdoors. Caring for foster animals has become a meaningful way to find peace and purpose. Drawing from personal experience, Awa believes in the power of storytelling to inspire change and is dedicated to mentoring others and amplifying youth voices through work with organizations like FosterClub.
