Aries Benjamin Nason | he/him | 1 year in care
Aries lives in Woodburn, Oregon, and is happiest when he’s in the water surfing. Outside of the ocean, he enjoys working on cars and often surprises people with the fact that he speaks French.
Aries spent one year in Oregon’s foster care system. His experience showed him how hard it can be for young people to have their voices truly heard. That inspired his commitment to uplifting peers and advocating for meaningful change. As a Peer Navigator and a Oregon Youth Advisory Council member, he works to ease the lives of youth in care by being a trustworthy mentor and helping them navigate the system with confidence.
In addition to his role at FosterClub, Aries serves as a member of Oregon’s Youth Advisory Council, where he helps represent the voices of youth with lived experience in foster care. He joined the council because he believes deeply in protecting those voices and supporting efforts that improve the everyday lives of young people in care. For Aries, contributing to a team with such purpose feels both honorable and meaningful.
Before joining FosterClub, Aries served on active duty in the United States Navy, an experience that shaped his discipline, leadership, and dedication to service. He is also proud of learning how to surf, a passion that continues to keep him grounded and energized.
Aries is excited to bring his lived experience, advocacy, and heart for service to uplift foster youth across Oregon and help them feel seen, supported, and empowered.
