(she/her)
11 years in care
is a 23-year-old college student and advocate who lives in Oregon. She is currently working toward a bachelor’s degree in criminology and criminal justice, driven by a desire to understand systems and help create meaningful change.
Alex spent 11 years in foster care, an experience that strongly shaped who she is today. Before joining FosterClub, she worked in retail and caregiving, gaining valuable skills in responsibility, empathy, and supporting others. She is especially proud of breaking cycles and choosing a different path for herself, determined not to repeat the mistakes she witnessed growing up.
Outside of school and advocacy, Alex enjoys gaming, late-night drives, and spending time with her family. She became interested in this work when the opportunity presented itself and realized her voice could matter. Through her work with FosterClub, Alex hopes to be a strong voice for young people who, like her, once felt unheard, and to help ensure no child feels invisible in care.
