Adriana Espinoza
She/Her
7 Years in Care
Adriana Wodrazka Espinoza’s journey through foster care began at 12 years old. Raised in a community that didn’t always understand her family’s struggles, Adriana faced numerous challenges while navigating the system. Over the years, she moved between multiple placements, experiencing instability, but also learning resilience and the importance of advocacy.
After aging out of care, Adriana worked hard to maintain stability while finishing high school. Despite facing personal challenges, she graduated and is now pursuing a degree in Business and Criminal Justice, Adriana is committed to using her voice to advocate for young people who have experienced foster care.
In addition to her studies, Adriana has worked on several community initiatives, organizing resource fairs, basketball tournaments, and volunteer efforts to support both system-involved youth and the broader community. She also mentors young people in schools, helping them navigate life skills like applying for college and managing finances.
Adriana’s ultimate goal is to create an organization that empowers youth and breaks the cycles of trauma. She aspires to adopt older youth and work toward systemic change, ensuring that every young person has the chance to thrive.
