West Virginia: Ombudsman
About this resource
The West Virginia Foster Care Ombudsman is here to help foster youth and foster/kinship families when something isn’t right. They can listen to concerns, investigate complaints, and advocate for your rights—all while working to make the system better for everyone.
You can reach out if:
- You’re not getting the support you need
- You feel your rights aren’t being respected
- You just need help figuring out what to do next
The Ombudsman is independent, which means they’re not part of your case team—they’re here to help you be heard.
