West Virginia: Foster Child Bill of Rights

About this resource

As a young person in foster care, you have rights—like the right to feel safe, stay connected to siblings, get the health care you need, go to school, and speak up in court. You also have the right to be treated with respect, free from abuse, and supported as you plan for your future.

West Virginia’s Foster Youth Bill of Rights lists what you can expect while in care and who you can talk to if something doesn’t feel right.
