University of Texas- El Paso FHAR

About this resource

The Foster, Homeless, and Adopted Resources (FHAR) program at the University of Texas at El Paso connects students who have experienced foster care, homelessness, or adoption with support and resources to help them succeed at UTEP. FHAR offers help with housing, school supplies, hygiene items, bus passes, and referrals to campus and community services.

Students can also connect with an advisor for advocacy and guidance throughout their college journey. FHAR is part of UTEP’s commitment to supporting the whole student—both in and out of the classroom.
