What It Is:
First in the Pack is a support program at the University of Nevada, Reno that helps first-generation college students succeed. If you’ve been in foster care, group care, or are the first in your family to attend college, this program is for you.

What You Get:

• A supportive community and mentoring

• Help with financial aid, housing, and navigating college

• Workshops, events, and one-on-one guidance

• Support from people who understand your experience

How to Join:
Visit the website and fill out the interest form or contact their team directly.

Who can use this resource (eligibility)?

• First-generation college students (meaning your parents or guardians didn’t finish a 4-year degree)
• Incoming or current UNR students
• Students with foster care or similar backgrounds are strongly encouraged to join
