Texas Tech’s Fostering the Future program supports students who have experienced foster care, including those who aged out or were adopted from the system. The program helps current and future Red Raiders access the resources they need to thrive, including financial aid, campus support, and one-on-one guidance.

Eligible students may qualify for a tuition and fee exemption through the Texas DFPS. To apply, request Form 1810 from DFPS, which verifies your eligibility. Once submitted to Texas Tech, the exemption can continue throughout your academic journey—even if your GPA drops or you take extra credit hours.
