Tennessee Independent Living Program
About this resource
Tennessee’s Independent Living Services and Extension of Foster Care programs provide support for youth and young adults transitioning out of foster care. Services focus on helping young people build lifelong success through education, employment, housing, healthcare, and access to essential documents and life skills.
Youth in or aging out of care can access financial aid resources, TennCare, credit checks, planning guides, and support through Child and Family Team Meetings. Eligible young adults can also choose to continue in Extension of Foster Care past age 18 for continued services and support.
