Tennessee: Education and Training Vouchers

About this resource

Tennessee’s Chafee Education and Training Voucher (ETV) Program provides up to $5,000 per year to help eligible current and former foster youth pay for college or vocational training. Youth must have been in foster care until age 18, or adopted from care at age 16 or older, and begin using the scholarship before turning 21. The award can continue through age 23 if eligibility is maintained.

Tennessee also offers other financial aid opportunities, including the Bright Futures Scholarship, for youth who were in care on or after age 16.
