South Carolina Youth Engagement Advocates (YEA!)

About this resource

Youth Engagement Advocates, also known as YEA!, is a group of young people who make sure youth voices are included when programs and policies are being created for teens and young adults. YEA! members meet regularly to share ideas, give feedback on policies and programs, look at current data, and speak at conferences across the state and country using their lived experiences to inspire change.

Who can use this resource (eligibility)?

Young people between the ages of 14 and 25 with Foster Care Experience are welcomed to join the monthly meetings being held at the Regional Network Chapters:

  • Upstate- Pendleton Place Youth and Family Services, Greenville
  • Low Country- Landmarks for Families, Charleston
  • PeeDee- Trent Hill Center for Children and Families, Hartsville
  • Midlands- Palmetto Place Children and Youth Services, Columbia
