Pennsylvania: Medicaid Health Insurance
About this resource
If you were in foster care and aged out at 18 or later, you can get free health insurance through a program called Health Care FFY (or Cover Until 26). It’s part of Medicaid and helps you stay covered with doctor visits, prescriptions, mental health support, and more—until you turn 26.
It’s the same kind of coverage other young adults get through their parents’ insurance.

Who can use this resource (eligibility)?
Thanks to the Affordable Care Act (ACA), if you were in foster care at age 18 or older, you can get free health insurance until you turn 26. That means you can still see a doctor, get mental health support, or pick up prescriptions without the stress of big medical bills.
