In Arkansas, extended foster care provides money and support for you to go to school (including college), get job training, find a place to live, and other things you need as a young adult. There are certain funding limits for each of these categories depending on different eligibility criteria.

Who can use this resource (eligibility)?

In Arkansas, the law allows you to choose to remain in foster care until your 21st birthday if you:

  • Are going to school
  • Are working
  • Have a medical condition that prevents you from going to school or working
