About this resource
New Yorkers For Children (NYFC) is dedicated to improving the lives of youth and families involved in the child welfare system—especially older youth who are aging out of foster care.
NYFC offers direct educational, financial, and emotional support to help youth succeed. They also create programs to fill critical gaps in services, working closely with foster care agencies, community groups, and the NYC Administration for Children’s Services.

The Nick’s Scholars Program provides wraparound support to help you succeed in college and beyond.

💵 Monthly Stipend: $500–$700
📘 Textbook Support: $1,000–$1,200/year
🎓 Tuition Help: Up to $1,000/year

Who can use this resource (eligibility)?
Current or former foster youth enrolled in a college in New York City.
The program is a partnership between foster care agencies, colleges, and the private sector, all working together to help you reach your goals.
