Nebraska Independent Living Program (ILP)

About this resource

Nebraska's ILP offers support and resources to help foster youth and young adults gain the skills needed for independent living. This includes assistance with education, employment, housing, and daily life skills. The goal is to empower you to make informed decisions and successfully navigate adulthood.

Who can use this resource (eligibility)?

You may qualify for ILP services if:

  • You're 14 years or older and currently in foster care.

  • You're a former foster youth who was in care at age 14 or older.

  • You're between 19 and 23 years old and have aged out of foster care.

  • You're up to 26 years old and seeking support through the Education and Training Voucher (ETV) program.
