Montana Child and Family Ombudsman
About this resource
What is the Office of the Child and Family Ombudsman?
This office is here to help make sure kids and families in Montana are treated fairly and safely. The Ombudsman is a person who listens to concerns, stays neutral (not taking sides), keeps things private, and works to solve problems.
Here’s what they do:
-
Look into concerns about how the Child and Family Services Division is handling cases.
-
Help make sure kids and families are treated with care and respect.
-
Teach people how to best support and protect children and families in Montana.
-
Investigate reports of harm, abuse, or neglect at the Intensive Behavioral Center (IBC) in Boulder, Montana.
