Mississippi Youth Voice

About this resource

Mississippi Youth Voice is a statewide group made up of youth and young adults who have been in foster care. Members work together to share their experiences, speak up about what youth in care need, and advocate for changes in the foster care system.

The group focuses on things like:

  • Making sure youth in care know their rights
  • Improving relationships with adults in the system
  • Expanding access to life skills, mental health support, and education
  • Helping foster youth have normal, age-appropriate experiences

If you’ve been in care and want to connect, learn leadership skills, or make a difference—this could be for you.
