The Maryland Youth Advisory Board (SYAB) is a special group for youth in foster care. It's a place where young people can share their experiences and ideas to help make the foster care system better. Through the SYAB, you’ll get the chance to speak up, learn leadership skills, and help create positive changes for other youth in care. It's also a great opportunity to meet new people, connect with professionals, and build skills that will help you in the future.Who can use this resource (eligibility)?
- Youth ages 14-21.
- You must be currently in or have been in foster care in Maryland.
How to Join:

Attend monthly meetings to discuss issues that matter to you and others in care.

Take part in workshops and advocacy training.
