Kansas Office of Child Advocate
About this resource
The Office of the Child Advocate (OCA) is an independent group that helps make sure kids and families in Kansas get the right services to stay safe and healthy. They are like a "voice" for children, making sure they’re treated fairly and that their needs are met.
If there’s a problem with state agencies, service providers, or juvenile courts that could hurt kids' health, safety, or happiness, the OCA steps in. They listen to complaints, investigate the issues, and work on ways to fix them. By making recommendations on cases and overall practices, they help improve laws and systems to do what's best for kids and families.
