Indiana-Independent Living Program

About this resource

If you're in foster care or have been in the past, the Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS) has programs to help you prepare for adulthood and build your future.

The Older Youth Initiatives (OYI) program is here to support you with:

Independent Living Support

Through programs like Older Youth Services, Transition to Adulthood, and Voluntary Services, you can get help learning life skills, finding housing, getting a job, going to school, and more.

Youth Connection Program (YCP)

Worried about leaving care without strong connections? The YCP helps you build lasting, supportive relationships with adults who can be there for you—like mentors, former teachers, coaches, or relatives.
