Illinois Education & Training Voucher (ETV) Program
If you’re in or have left foster care and want to go to college, trade school, or a training program, you could qualify for up to $5,000 a year to help pay for things like tuition, books, supplies, and even transportation. It’s meant to fill in the gaps when other financial aid doesn’t cover your full school costs. You can use it until you’re 26 or for up to five years whichever comes first. To get it, you need to:
-
Attend a school that’s officially recognized by the U.S. Department of Education,
-
Submit your FAFSA each year,
-
Keep making satisfactory progress in your classes,
-
And complete the application with any extra required paperwork
