FPP at FIU supports students who have experienced foster care or homelessness by offering tailored services to promote academic success and campus stability. The program helps with processing tuition waivers, securing housing, and connecting students to on- and off-campus resources.

Services include:

  • Help with DCF and homeless tuition waivers
  • Support securing on-campus housing
  • Access to food, toiletries, and basic needs through the FPP Cupboard and FIU Food Pantry
  • Dedicated Success Coaches for admissions, financial aid, and registration support
  • Mentoring from FIU faculty, staff, or alumni
  • Priority registration, laptop loaners, and eligibility for book stipends and housing scholarships
