Ferris State University Ferris Youth Initiative
About this resource
Ferris State University is dedicated to helping young people from all backgrounds succeed, especially those who’ve experienced foster care. That’s why they created the Ferris Youth Initiative Johnson Scholars program—a special support system for students who are foster care alumni.
In 2019, Ferris President David Eisler and his wife Patsy donated $700,000 to grow this program and help more students succeed.
What the program offers:
The Ferris Youth Initiative Johnson Scholars program helps foster care alumni succeed in college by offering support in academics, personal growth, and overall well-being. It’s all about helping you reach your goals and feel supported every step of the way.
