Colorado Chapter - Foster Care Alumni of America
About this resource
We believe that everyone who’s been in foster care deserves to feel connected, supported, and thriving.
Foster Care Alumni of America was created by people who used to be in foster care. Our mission is to use the collective voice of alumni to make life better for anyone who has experienced foster care—no matter their age. We want to help close the gap in opportunities and outcomes between those who were in care and those who weren’t.
We know support doesn’t stop at age 18 or 25. One way we improve lives is by creating space for people from foster care to connect, so no one feels alone and everyone can build lasting community and family. We also believe that people who’ve lived through foster care bring powerful insight—and that our experiences are key to shaping better policies, practices, and systems.
