About this resource
The ETV Program helps current and former foster youth in Arkansas pay for college or job training.
If you're eligible, you can get up to $5,000 per year to help with:

Tuition and school fees

Books and supplies
-
Housing (room and board)
-
Other school-related costs
The program is available to youth who were in foster care on or after their 18th birthday, or who were adopted or entered guardianship from foster care at age 16 or older, until they turn 26 or have accessed the program for five years, whichever comes first.
TO APPLY:
Your Transitional Youth Services (TYS) Coordinator or Family Service Worker (FSW) can assist you with completing the application process. You can also contact DHS for assistance with completing your ETV application:

You must also complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Who can use this resource (eligibility)?
1. You must be a current/former foster student who:
• Was in foster care on your 18th birthday
• OR Remains in foster care
• OR Entered into an adoption or guardianship from foster care at 16 or older.
2. You must have been accepted into or be enrolled in a degree, certificate or other accredited program at a college, university, technical or vocational school. To remain eligible for ETV funding, you must show progress toward a degree or certificate.
