If you're a foster youth in Alaska aiming for college or vocational training, the Education and Training Voucher (ETV) Program is here to support you.


🎓 What Is the ETV Program?

The ETV Program provides up to $5,000 per year to help cover:

  • Tuition and required fees

  • Books and school supplies

  • Housing (on-campus or off-campus)

  • Transportation

  • Childcare

  • Personal care items

  • Tutoring services

These funds aim to ease the financial burden, allowing you to focus on your education and training goals. 

Who can use this resource (eligibility)?

You may qualify for the ETV Program if you:

  • Were in foster care (state or tribal) on or after your 16th birthday

  • Are under 21 years old when you enroll in the program

  • Have a high school diploma or GED

  • Are accepted into or enrolled in an accredited college, university, vocational, or technical program

  • Have completed the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)

Once enrolled, you can continue receiving ETV funds until you turn 23, provided you remain in good academic standing.
