The Advocates for Children CASA Youth Advisory Board (YAB)

About this resource

The Advocates for Children Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Youth Advisory Board (YAB) gives young people a voice in shaping the services that help them. It’s a way for the organization’s Board of Directors and staff to work directly with youth to make sure the programs are helpful and meet real needs.

The YAB is made up of youth and young adults, ages 12 and up, who have experienced tough challenges like abuse or neglect. Members share their ideas and experiences to make things better for others.

The goal of the YAB is to include youth voices in important decisions. By working together with CASA volunteers, staff, and leadership, the YAB helps improve programs and creates better outcomes for young people in care.

If you want to make a difference and be heard, the YAB is your chance to get involved!
