New Resource to Improve Outcomes for Transition-Age Youth

A group of eight diverse young people sit together outdoors, smiling and relaxed in casual clothing. Below the photo, text reads: “The Improving Outcomes Playbook is here with Youth Voices at the Center.” A green banner says, “Explore the solutions.” Logos for the American Public Human Services Association (APHSA), FosterClub, and Youth Villages appear at the bottom.

What if every person aging out of foster care had a stable home, a strong community and a plan?

FosterClub is proud to partner with Youth Villages and American Public Human Services Association (APHSA) in creating a resource to make this a reality. That’s where “Improving Outcomes for Young Adults and the Systems that Serve Them: A Playbook of Best Practices” comes in.

The playbook was co-designed with young people with lived experience in foster care to be a road map for child welfare agencies, policymakers and advocates who are committed to improving outcomes for young people who turn 18 in foster care.
